Hawthorn / Huath
Hawthorn / Huath, acrylic and collage, 24x24"”, on 7/8” deep wood panel, unframed, $850.
Hawthorn / Huath is part of the Ogham Tree Alphabet series. I started with my favorite symbolic shapes, the double vesica piscis, the “donut” shape, and the arch. Each of these shapes could symbolize a portal to a magical realm. I added graceful branches of the hawthorn, known in the ancient Irish tree alphabet as Huath. The colors are mixtures that harmonize with the reds pinks and oranges of the berries. Click on painting image to purchase.
